38th Annual Apple Pie Baking Competition

Saturday, September 12, 2026 — San Luis Obispo Store, 122 Cross St.

Bring us your best homemade apple pie for a shot at the top prize: a $2,500 Bosch range (plus ultimate bragging rights), a $1,500 Beautyrest mattress for second, or a new Bosch mixer for third. Open to amateur bakers 18 and older from San Luis Obispo County and North Santa Barbara County. Pies arrive 10:00–11:30 AM; judging begins at noon.

Pre-registration is required and closes the week of September 7, 2026. Idler's Home employees and their families are not eligible to compete.
