Idler’s Home has seen successful growth over the decades and now has over 100 employees with 5 locations on the Central Coast of California. Bud, a WWII veteran, started with one small downtown location that sold, delivered, and serviced major household appliances. It was the beginning of a true family business, with all five of Bud & Avis’s children helping daily. In the late 70s, Bud passed away, and his son, Don Idler, took over the growing business.
At Idler’s Home, we believe in providing the highest quality products and service to our community. Our community, where we live, shop, our children go to school and play sports, we attend church and social activities. This Central Coast Community that Idler’s Home is so happy and proud to be a part of.
We offer major appliances, household furniture, mattresses, hot tubs, kitchen design services, and much more. We also install all appliances we sell with our trained professional installers. We service and repair appliances we sell with a small team of factory-trained technicians. We also work closely with several local services that we trust to get you the help you need.

Idler's Home Supports
Idler’s Home is proud of our team and the growth they have all achieved through the decades. Idler’s team and their loved ones celebrate 9 years as “Team Idler’s”, supporting the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. Each year a group of dedicated employees, friends, and family members join together in the crusade to help fight cancer. They fundraise, organize and on the day of the Paso Robles Relay for Life they walk their hearts out. This cause is near and dear to so many of the Team Idler’s families. “Each one of us is effected in some way by this, whether we have had cancer, cared for someone with cancer or been there to support loved ones through the critical times, if we can take just a little time out of our lives to give back, then we are making a difference,” Idler says. Watch for all of Team Idler’s events and help make a difference!
